ING announced today that it has entered into a settlement agreement with the Dutch Public Prosecution Service (DPPS) relating to previously disclosed investigations regarding various requirements for client on-boarding and the prevention of money laundering and corrupt practices.
ING and the European Investment Bank (EIB) today signed an agreement to support green investments for the European shipping market for a total value of EUR 300m. ING and EIB will each contribute EUR 150m to the facility. This agreement will ensure that sponsors of green and sustainable projects in the maritime transport sector can benefit from advantageous financial terms.
ING will only offer new financing for office buildings in the Netherlands that meet the requirements for a ‘green’ energy label after 2017.

In that context, ING and the Dutch State have reached an agreement with the European Commission (EC) on a revised timeline for the divestment process.
