Spain and Italy join the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and Poland, where ING already offers Private Banking.

“Expanding our Private Banking offering in Spain and Italy is an important step and supports our goal to Get Europe Invested,” said Anneka Treon, global head of Private Banking, Wealth Management & Investments at ING.

“By combining the scale, technology and investment expertise we have built across ING with strong local teams, we can give more clients access to personalised support while allowing them to choose how and when they engage with us.”

Get Europe Invested is ING’s ambition to make long-term investing more accessible and help people put their money to work for the long term.

Starting from a strong local base

In Spain, ING already serves more than 6,000 clients in the segment. The new service is supported by 35 private bankers and more than 50 specialists across products, customer experience and technology.

Clients can choose to invest independently, get personal investment advice or leave the day-to-day investment decisions to ING through discretionary portfolio management.

In Italy, around 40 private bankers currently serve clients. The service will gradually grow to include advanced advisory services, access to private markets and other wealth management solutions.

With more than 30 years of Private Banking experience, ING today provides investment services to more than five million clients, with more than €300 billion in assets under management and brokerage.
