Banking for Italy’s six million entrepreneurs is set to become faster, simpler and more digital following ING’s launch of Business Banking in Italy.

Introduced last week, Arancio Business has been designed as an all‑in‑one banking solution for freelancers and sole proprietors.

Packed with features

Arancio Business is redefining what business banking can feel like for Italian entrepreneurs by including several distinctive features designed to remove friction from everyday banking.

Customers can open an account in just minutes and turn their smartphone into a free SoftPOS device to accept payments. The offer includes cyber and device protection, a first in the Italian market helping entrepreneurs safeguard their business and operate with greater peace of mind.

The proposition also comes with a remunerated deposit account (Extra Money Arancio Business), which lets customers earn attractive returns on their liquidity, so money that isn’t in use still works for the business. The account is flexible and non‑binding, allowing funds to be moved freely between current and deposit accounts whenever needed.

In addition, a dynamic pricing model automatically applies the most cost‑efficient plan each month based on a customer’s actual use. Instead of choosing a fixed package, ING reviews monthly activity and assigns the lowest‑cost option across three tiers (Go, Pro, Top), so customers can concentrate on growing their business and pay only for what they use.

Faster, simpler, fully digital

Nadine Klokke, global head of Business Banking, said she was proud to introduce this new offer for Italian entrepreneurs.

“With six million registered businesses, Italy is home to the largest community of entrepreneurs in Europe, and we want to support them with banking that is faster, simpler and fully digital.

“We know starting a business is never easy and can take an emotional toll. For entrepreneurs, we want the banking experience to shift from being an obstacle to becoming an ally. We want ING to be a true partner, capable of making a real difference to customers.”

Nadine also noted that SMEs are the backbone of the European economy, representing 99.8% of all enterprises and employing more than 100 million people.

“We are the bank that backs entrepreneurs from the very start.”

With around 1.7 million customers, ING Business Banking now has a presence in eight countries: Australia, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, the Netherlands, and Türkiye.
