Annual report 2024
Our annual report 2024 provides an overview of our achievements during the past year and shows our progress on our strategy and our two priorities: providing superior value to customers and putting sustainability at the heart of what we do. This report features the report of the Executive board, the consolidated and parent company financial statements and other information. The report of the Executive Board includes the sustainability statement which is prepared in accordance with the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS), as delegated by the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

The 2023 edition of ING’s annual report gives stakeholders an insight into our strategy, business activities and performance over the past year in the context of ING’s strategic priorities: providing a superior customer experience and putting sustainability at the heart of what we do.

"It is fair to say that 2023 was a challenging year on many counts: geopolitical and economic shocks, supply-chain disruptions, inflationary pressures, climate-related and other natural disasters, wars, and the continuing trend of societal and political fragmentation across the globe. Against this backdrop, we are proud that we were able to navigate these conditions successfully, make good progress on our strategy, and deliver a set of strong financial results," said chief executive officer Steven van Rijswijk and chairperson Karl Guha in a message to shareholders, clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
