“What mattered was my ability to do a good job”
Each of us brings something different to ING. And it’s this diversity of experiences, backgrounds and perspectives that makes our organisation strong. That’s why on 3 December, ING celebrated International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD), in support of our colleagues with disabilities and neurodiverse conditions and the contribution they make to ING.

This year’s theme is ‘stepping forward’, and to make positive steps towards inclusion, it’s important we first listen to those with lived experiences of disability and neurodiversity. This time we hear from Peter Oudt, business analyst in Global KYC, who has been a carer for his son for many years. Peter talks to us about how he manages these responsibilities alongside his work, and why he’s never felt like he’s been disadvantaged in his career because of this.
