Peter Jacobs appointed country manager ING in the Netherlands
As of April 1, 2023, Peter Jacobs (47) will succeed Ruud van Dusschoten as country manager of ING in the Netherlands. Peter Jacobs is currently still working as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company. With his appointment as country manager of ING in the Netherlands, Jacobs returns to ING where he previously held various Tech-driven management positions, including that of Chief Information Officer ING in the Netherlands.

Based on his proven track record, knowledge, and experience in the field of digitization, technology, and transformation, we made a very conscious choice with Peter as Ruud's successor.

Peter (1975) started his career in 2005 at McKinsey & Company and joined ING in the Netherlands in 2009 and has since held various management positions in the IT field. From 2013 to 2018, Peter was Chief Information Officer (CIO) within the bank in the Netherlands. In early 2019, he returned to McKinsey & Company in the role of senior partner where he focused on transformation, digitization, and technological modernization at major financial institutions worldwide.

After April 1, Van Dusschoten will remain chairman of the Board of ING Netherlands, the body charged with employer responsibility for all ING employees in the Netherlands, including employees at the head office. He is therefore also the director with whom ING's Central Works Council conducts dialogue. In addition, Ruud will continue to be involved with several ING clients.
