No card, no worries
Oh, #@!*&%! (insert profanity here!). I’ve forgotten my debit card and can’t withdraw any cash.
How many times have you said that?
If you live in the Netherlands, those days are over. This month, ING has made it possible to withdraw up to €100 per day without a card. Called ING cash code, all you need now is a code from your mobile banking app and you can make a withdrawal from a Geldmaat ATM. Geldmaat are the most common ATMs in the Netherlands and are a collaboration with three Dutch banks including ING.

Cash code is especially handy for those who don’t have their debit card with them or for those that have lost their card.
All customers need to do is open their Dutch ING Mobile Banking App, select ‘Service’ and follow the steps on the screen. The ING cash code is valid for a maximum of one hour, so transactions need to be completed within that time.
In the past, customers could only request such a code from an ING service point or branch if they had lost their debit card.
The initiative in the Netherlands follows similar cardless solutions for ING customers in Poland, Romania, Luxembourg, Turkey and Germany. It’s all about continuing to provide a superior experience that is personal, easy, relevant and instant.
