Michał has been with ING for 24 years. Currently he is the global head of Business Banking. In 2006 he took up the position of bank executive director at ING Bank Śląski, managing the business clients division and in 2008 he became vice president of the ING Bank Śląski Management Board, where he led ING Commercial Finance, ING Lease and ING Uslugi dla Biznesu subsidiaries. Since 2021 Michał was head of Business Banking for the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg and in 2023, became global head of Business Banking.

Michał Bolesławski said: “Although it is officially still subject of regulator approval, I am very much looking forward to start working with the team in Poland and continue the period of great performance that ING Bank Śląski went through so far under the leadership of Brunon Bartkiewicz and the current Executive Committee. Until I can take over in 2025, I will make sure that Business Banking will be in the best shape possible for my successor”.

Over the last years, Michał has been instrumental in increasing the digitalisation of processes and services in Business Banking, enhancing the experience for customers, bringing greater value to them. Under his leadership the segment realised substantial growth in existing markets and expansion into new markets.

Pinar Abay, head of Retail Banking and member of the Management Board Banking said: “It is great to see someone who grew up within ING become CEO of such an important market. Michał embraced the opportunity to broaden his scope internationally and that experience, combined with his extensive track record both globally and in Poland, will be of great value in his new role. He is well-positioned to continue the dynamic growth, reinforcing our strong position in the market and solidifying ING as a leading brand.”
