Katana named Innovator 2019
Global Finance magazine recognises ING’s AI tool as top Corporate Finance innovation
ING’s cutting-edge AI tool Katana has been named as an Innovator 2019 by Global Finance magazine.
Now in its seventh year, The Innovators is an annual award honouring top innovations in areas such as Payments, Trade Finance, Cash Management and Islamic Finance. Katana was recognised in the Corporate Finance category.
Katana’s power
Using the power of artificial intelligence, Katana allows traders and investors to quickly make sound decisions when buying and trading bonds. It can aggregate vast amounts of data from multiple historic and real-time sources to predict the winning price and identify the most promising trades.
The results show traders using Katana win 20% more trades and their prices are 20% sharper. At the same time, it helps investment managers to make better-informed, data-driven decisions.
Katana was developed by ING’s Financial Markets Global Credit Trading team in London and the Wholesale Banking Advanced Analytics team.
