ING appoints Sali Salieski as global head of Private Individuals
ING announced today that it has appointed Sali Salieski as global head of Private Individuals, effective 1 April 2025. In his new role, Sali will be responsible for the Private Individuals segment within Retail Banking - the business unit that also covers Business Banking and Private Banking, Wealth Management and Investments.
Across ING’s retail markets we serve over 39 million customers, 13.9 million of which are mobile primary customers and who bank with us through their mobile device or our website.
Sali currently is head of Retail and Private Banking at ING Belgium. He joined ING in 2004 and has a track record across retail and private banking, finance, and investment banking/mergers and acquisitions. He successfully led the retail and private banking business in Belgium since 2020, delivering a strategic turnaround through a swift digitalisation of the business, restoring profitability, improving customer experience, and driving the commercial growth of the franchise.
Sali will report to Pinar Abay, ING’s global head of Retail, Market Leaders and Challengers & Growth Markets, and member of the Management Board Banking. “Sali brings a strong track record, clear vision, a value-led growth mindset and the leadership experience required to drive the overall growth plan as a crucial part of our Be First Retail Banking strategy,” said Pinar Abay.
